Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
One of the most popular short treks in Nepal, the Ghorepani Poon hill trek (also known as the “Poon Hill trek”). We start at Nayapul hiking through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests and green hills and then pass through Poon Hill, which offers panoramic views, a wonderful place to see the sunrise and sunset.
And, of course, enjoy magnificent views of the Annapurna range from a relatively low altitude, including Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Annapurna South.
The trek discovers the foothills of central Himalaya passing through different mountain villages, providing spectacular views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre massifs.

Itinerary
Arrive in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu airport, after completing your custom formalities Visa, etc. pick up your luggage and look for our Magical Summits representative who displays your name on the board at the arrival gate. Our representative will welcome you and you will be transferred to your hotel.

Drive to Nayapul (about 8 hrs.) and trek to Hille (1,460 meters) 2 hours
We will drive from Kathmandu to directly Nayapul by mini Toyota Hiace, we will follow the Prithvi Highway, which connects Kathmandu and Pokhara. It passes almost parallel to the Trisuli River during the first half of the journey, and the mighty Himalaya come closer into view.
Once we arrived at Nayapul, we begin our trek at Nayapul. After short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti, a large village that has many shops and teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village.
The trek route follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1460 meters and after the short climb, we reach at Hille.
Today’s walk offers a short and relatively easy day, which allows us to become used to the experience of trekking in Nepal.

Trek to Ghorepani
After breakfast set off to walk about 6 hours to reach Ghorepani. We start our walk with a steep climb to Ulleri. This is a large Magar village at 2070 meters. Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine oak and rhododendron forests towards Banthanti.
Then we will trek towards Nangethanti. After about an hour of walking this brings you to Ghorepani at 2840 meters.

Sunrise at Poonhill and trek to Ghandruk
Start off with a wakeup call early in the morning and begin your hike in just about an hour to Poon Hill. This is a spiritual place that offers magnificent scenery, especially when the sun rising golden light, to name a few, on nearby snow-covered peaks such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and SingaChuli. Grab a cup of coffee masala tea enjoy the mesmerizing views with your fellow trekkers.
You’ll then come back downhill to Ghorepani for a breakfast before continuing a trekking towards the Ghandruk village. This Gurung village homes a museum dedicated to Gurung culture. It’s worth spending some time here.

Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Kathmandu
On this final day of the trek, mostly downhill to Sauli bazaar and pretty flat to Nayapul, you can see farming terraces and local lifestyle.
We reach Nayapul then an hour drive will take us back to Pokhara, then we drive back to Kathmandu,return to the bustle of the capital of Nepal within about 6 hours.
Optional, if your time permits, spend a night in Pokhara and enjoy the delights of Pokhara, taking a trip to a spa massage or listening to live music. Or simply relax in a quiet café, restaurant overlooking the Fewa lake.

Free day / Fly to home
Today is rest and relax throughout the day or say goodbye to Nepal. Enjoy your final moments in Kathmandu with a city stroll or souvenir shopping.
In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with culture show.
Our representative will meet you at your hotel and drive you to the airport for your return flight home.
