Khopra Danda Trek
Khopra Danda Trek is the new, less discovered, off-the-beaten trekking route in the Annapurna region of Nepal. This trek also has alternative names such as Kopra Ridge and Khayer Lake trekking, etc.
This is the perfect scenic trek to avoid the crowded part of the Annapurna area. On this trek, you’ll have peaceful memories of the less explored trails. Within a short time, this trek will allow you to enjoy the beautiful untouched nature. And the chance to observe real Nepalese lifestyles.
This trek is suitable for all beginners and experienced trekkers. Most parts of the trails are difficult, while some parts are easy. The path passes through a deeply lush pine, oak, rhododendron and bamboo forest.
You will witness the magnificent views of the snowy Himalayas. And cross the beautiful villages of Magar, Gurung, Kami, Brahmin, with its beautiful terraced farmland.
Moreover, on this trek, you will take an adventurous hike up to Khayer Lake at 4600m. This is the highest point with the most spectacular and picturesque views of the mountains and landscapes.

Accommodation
Accommodations are provided on the twin-sharing basis. If you are a solo traveler, a single supplement will be served. Accommodations during the trek in the Himalayas, you will be staying at basic mountain lodges where you’ll have a nice and clean room with the warm blankets, pillows, and comfortable matrices (matrices may not be very thick size but they’re comfortable).
Meals
During the trek, we can enjoy authentic Nepalese food as well the more common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc.). Breakfast and dinner will be served from a lodge menu where we spend the night whereas lunch will be served on the way to the next destination. All meals will be provided during trekking, there will also be farewell dinner.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Himalayas is between September to December and March to May, when the skies are a clear blue and the views spectacular. The weather remains dry until about May, with temperatures varying between regions.
Nepal is good for trekking throughout the year. Autumn and spring seasons are the most famous trekking seasons in the Himalayan region of Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. It has beautiful, cool, blue skies, clear weather conditions and amazing views of the white mountains and the countryside.
During the spring season, this time of year offers a breathtaking view of the Rhododendron flowers and lush forests.

Arrive in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu and you will meet one of our representatives who will takeyou to your respective hotel.
And you will get a briefing about the trip with your trek leader after settling into the hotel. He will discuss the trek details and coordinate you for the last-minute preparations.

Fly to Pokhara, drive to Nayapul, and trek to Tikhedhunga
Today after breakfast, you will take an early morning flight to Pokhara which will take about 25 minutes.
Upon reaching Pokhara you will take an hour’s drive to Nayapul which cover 42 km in car/jeep through the prosperous village of Lumley.
As you reach Nayapul, your trek begins to Birethanti situated on the confluence of the Modi and Burundi Khola. You will then follow the main street going through bamboo forests and large waterfalls.
In Birethanti you will verify your permits and walk towards Tikhedhunga through the bank of the river. You will continue your journey to Tikhedhunga passing through several small villages and settlements.
Later you will ascend gently to the final destination of the day. Overnight at a tea house in Tikhedhunga.

Trek to Ghorepani
Many people consider the most difficult part of the trek to be today’s trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani.
After a pleasant breakfast, you’ll start your trek and soon you’ll see a large suspension bridge. And a sign stating the time to reach at Ghorepani.
You will see many horses along the trail and the picturesque scenery of the mountains and settlements. The challenging part of the trek is that there are more than 3500 stairs you have to climb.
You cross the village of Ulleri and gradually leave the corn fields. On the way, you’ll see good views of Machhapuchhre (6,996m) and Hiunchuli (6,441m).
The trail is quite easy to pass through Rhododendron and gently ascend up to the final checkpost at Ghorepani village through shadowy trees.

Trek to Upper Chistibung
You will carry out the trek today by following a verdant slope and crossing all over the meadow land with a number of herder’s huts and dzo grazing.
You will then move to the community lodge, which will provide you with a new experience of trekking.

Trek to Khopra Danda
Today, after breakfast, you’ll head to the Khopra ridge. You will start on a gradual climb that will take you above the tree line. The area is famous for its wildlife, so you should keep your eyes open for Himalayan Thar and Danphe.
The best way to tackle the climb is by climbing slowly. Take a moment of your own and rest often. Then you will reach the lodge on the Kopra ridge and get more stunning views of the mountains.
The stunning panoramic view includes Annapurna south towering directly above you, only 6 km away.

Rest day in Khopra Danda and day trip to Khayer Lake
At the summit point of the trek, you may either enjoy a rest or hike up to Khayer lake at 4,660m. This day trip will take almost a full day. And as it’s a remote area, you will have to carry some food and water.
It will take about 4 hours to reach Khayer Lake, a rarely visited sacred freshwater lake, at At an altitude of 4660m, it is even higher than the Annapurna Base Camp.
You can spend some time for discovery the Khayer Lake and Barahi temple area. And watch varieties of birds before you get back to KhopraDanda.

Trek to Tatopani
It takes half a day from KhopraDanda to reach Tatopani. As you descend back into the valley, you pass through a number of typical villages and terraced farms.
At Tatopani, you’ll find the built-up hot spring open to the public. Here you can take a hot bath and relax your muscles by walking.

Drive to Pokhara
From Tatopani, you will drive to Pokhara which is 105 km in a local jeep/bus. This journey will take you 4 hours.
Once you reach Pokhara, the remaining day you can discover and stroll nearby Fewa lake and enjoy the serenity of the place.

Drive to Kathmandu
Early in the morning, take another long but beautiful drive to return to Kathmandu today, which will take about 7 hours. You have the option to fly back at an extra cost. The flight is 25 minutes long.
In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with culture show.
