Dhaulagiri Trek
Chhiring Sherpa and Ang Thindu Sherpa, handled the administrative and logistics of my trek competently, an especially important matter during the coronavirus epidemic. They obtained a pre-approved Trekking Visa, Cornavirus Crisis Management Center forms and arranged in-country travel, lodging and meals , minimizing my stress and confusion as a non-Nepali speaker in Nepal for the first time. More importantly, Ang Thindu, my guiding Sherpa, expertly negotiated the trail during a whiteout at approximately 16,700 feet, immediately following Dhampus Pass. We were down to Jomsom and safe the following day.And Thindu aided me in obtaining a coronavirus test during the lockdown of Kathmandu, so that I could get my flight out of Nepal on April 30, prior to strict closures on international travel from Nepal.
